QUANTITATIVE Our Team is made up of 8 GIRLS who want to make changes in our community. Earlier in the year, WE HOSTED a POSTER SIGNING WHERE YOUNG TEENS shared inspiring thoughts about what being a girl means to them. Over 100 students participated in this event. Later, we asked our fellow peers to donate items for our hygiene kits. Our team made it even more exciting when we offered a pizza party to the class who brought in the most donations. We also had a small gathering where our classmates came together with our team to put together hygiene kits to donate. We will be donating these kits to an organization called People assisting the homeless (PATH). PATH is a family of agencies working together to end homelessness for individuals, families, and communities throughout California. Our team is very excited to donate our hygiene kits to such an amazing organization. WE HAVE AN AMAZING Mentor, MR. WAYNEE, WHO HAS HELPED US stay ON TRACK AND provide knowledge. OUR PRINCIPal has ALLOWed US TO USE the school AUDITORIUM TO HOST our upcominG health assembly.
QUalitative After attending L.a. Promise Fund's leadership summit, our team member, Desly Cervantes, said that she felt "like anything is possible." She also felt more confident that her dreams can be accomplished. many of our peers said they felt "Strong", "Empowered", and "confident" after attending our Poster Signing Day. Throughout the event, we could physically see how much happier and confident the young girls were while walking AROUND CAMPUS. Melody Escamilla is a former team member whom left the team for personal reasons. She still joined us to help create our hygiene kits. Melody said she is "happy to still be able to help our community".
