In the span of 9 months, we have been able to reach students all over our campus to achieve our goal of women empowerment.
- One particular event that had an impact on our high school campus, female and male, was our poster signing. The poster read, "What being a girl means to me." Middle school and High school students had the opportunity to write their opinions on the topic. They believed it meant, "Being strong and independent," and "Being motivational." This event helped both empower girls and fortify the belief that they are important.
- Thanks to our school community, USC MAE's GBLA group was been able to acquire the supplies necessary to make about 110 hygiene kits for girls and women in need.
Long-term outcomes:
After hard work and determination, our group has achieved one of our biggest goals: helping women in need.
- Having the opportunity to donate supplies that went toward helping homeless women impacted our group greatly. Not only were we able to experience selflessness but we were able to teach our school community the importance of helping others. Our hope is that next years' team will be able to follow in our footsteps and achieve something even greater.
